Some weeks ago, we saw a Honda NSX prototype burned to ashes on the Nurburbring and here we have a hypercar prototype crashed on the track nicknamed- Green Hell. About a week ago, this Koenigsegg Agera was spied lapping the Nurburgring. But sadly, the car got involved in this fiery crash while testing.
According to reports, the hypercar protoype crashed at the Hohenrain. Before this section, there is a section between Döttinger Höhe and the Tiergarten, where a hypercar can easily do speeds north of 300 kmph (186 mph). Apparently, in this case, the driver wasn’t able to brake enough, and entered the section with a speed too high which let the things go out of control for him, sending the hypercar into the barrier after spinning 180 degrees.
The Koenigsegg Agera prototype seems to have sustained damage at both ends. As for the test driver and his passenger, the report says they were picked up by an ambulance and taken to the hospital. The condition of both the occupants is known, but we hope they recover soon.
