One of the leading players, Kia has unveiled the new Seltos facelift in India with a refreshed design and more performance. The carmaker will announce the pricing range of the new Seltos facelift next week. With the refreshed design, the addition of features, and a new powertrain, the new Seltos will be ready to dazzle the roads!
Kia Seltos facelift: Exterior and Aesthetics
In terms of design, the new Kia Seltos Facelift gets a refreshed new fascia with sharper elements accentuating its beauty. Upfront, the SUV gets a new tiger-nose grille, new DRLs and headlights, a new bumper with skid plates and new ice-cube fog lights. The new DRLs are merged with the grille resembling the Carens somehow. Overall, the front fascia of the new Seltos facelift is like the outgoing version.
The side profile of the new Kia Seltos facelift doesn’t have any major tweaks apart from the new alloy wheels and new roof rails. However, the carmaker has tweaked the rear fascia of the new Seltos with new elements. The new LED Taillights get merged with a light bar and Kia emblem which certainly resembles the Carens. Moreover, the SUV gets a new rear bumper with reflectors and more prominent skid plates. With all these cosmetic embellishments, the new Kia Seltos facelift looks fresh and appealing in the market.
Kia Seltos facelift: Interior and Features
Like the exterior, the new Kia Seltos facelift boasts a new interior with a different layout than the outgoing versions. The Seltos facelift is available with a Beige and Black interior for HT-Line variants and Sporty Black and Red interior for GT-Line variants. In terms of interior, the carmaker has tweaked the dashboard and centre console of the SUV with a more prominent twin-screen layout. The SUV gets twin 10.25-inches screens with one for the new digital instrument cluster and the other for an updated infotainment system.
The carmaker has added several new features to the new Seltos as a part of the 2023 update. The features list includes ADAS, Air Purifier, a new Automatic AC Unit, a panoramic sunroof, heads-up display, ventilated seats, electric driver seat adjustment, Bose sound system, etc. Other features include the front parking sensors, 360-degree camera, blind view monitor, ventilated seats, TPMS, 6 airbags, Traction Control System, Hill Assist, ESC, etc.
Kia Seltos facelift: Engine and Transmission Options
At the heart of the matter of the new Kia Seltos is the new 1.5L 4-cylinder turbocharged T-GDi petrol engine. However, this new engine also powers the new Verna, Alcazar, and Carens, producing 160hp and 253nm of output. Meanwhile, Kia will also provide the 1.5L VTVT petrol and CRDi diesel engines. While the VTVT makes 114hp and 144nm, the CRDi diesel churns out 114hp and 250nm of output.
In terms of the gearbox, the 1.5L VTVT is available with a 6-speed manual and CVT automatic transmission. However, the 1.5L CRDi is available with a 6-Speed IMT and 6-Speed Automatic Transmission. The new T-GDi will be offered with 6-speed IMT and 7-speed DCT gearbox options only.

Kia has unveiled the new Seltos facelift today. However, the details for the bookings and the price range will be revealed on the 14th of July 2023. The new SUV will be ready to take on the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Volkswagen Taigun. Moreover, the Kia Seltos facelift will lock its horns with MG Astor, Skoda Kushaq, Toyota Hyryder, and the upcoming Honda Elevate.
