Kawasaki to show Z1000, ZX10RR & ER6N at Auto Expo 2010

Kawasaki ER6n at Auto Expo 2010

Kawasaki has created waves in 2009 with the Ninja 250R finally making its way to the Bajaj Pro Biking showrooms. This year, Kawasaki is expected to tone up their Indian portfolio further with more high capacity models. The most probable of the lot is the ER6n – a 600cc street motorcycle that can take on the likes of the CB1000R and the upcoming naked bikes from Yamaha and Suzuki. The ER6n’s strength will lie in its 600cc engine which will impart better riding characteristics to the newbies, thanks to the controllable power as compared to the madness of the litre-class machinery. But for the seasoned lot who are looking for bigger power, we are speculating that Kawasaki may get in the 2010 Z1000 litre-class street bike, but at a later stage. We are expecting the ER6n to go on sale by Diwali at a sticker price between Rs.5-6 lakh while the Z1000 may attract well over 8 lakh rupees. More on the mean green machines once the Expo gets underway…
