Joining the Tata Nano at the stage who bagged the ‘Indian Car of the Year’ (ICOTY) title is the Kawasaki Ninja 205R who took home the ‘Indian Motorcycle of the Year‘ (IMOTY) award.
The IMOTY award has been coined by leading automotive magazines in association with JK Tyre to evaluate the motorcyles launched in India this year and recognise the efforts of the manufacturers and the companies. All the bikes which went on sale in the showrooms across the country before December 1st, 2009 were considered eligible to compete for this prestigious award and the selection of the winner was done by a simple voting system carried out by leading automotive journalists who formed the 11 member jury.
