Daily Mirror recently published a story that said Mirpur, Jammu&Kashmir is soon going to be directly connected by road with Birmingham, United Kingdom! Further, a bus service will be launched on this 4,000 Kilometers long route to ferry passengers between the two nations. Tickets for this 12 day long bus trip would be priced at Rs. 11,178/ticket and the bus will pass through seven countries! It may be noted that Birmingham is a home to world’s largest population of Kashmiri emigrants. Security concerns have been raised about the route as the bus would pass through Quetta, Pakistan.
