Karl Slym visits “Nano Art in Motion”

We reported in detail when Tata Motors announced the launch of the ‘Nano: Art in Motion’ last month. The inaugural Tata Nano Art Car has been painted by renowned artist, Ms. Sangeeta Babani. A self-taught artist from Mumbai, Ms. Sangeeta Babani transformed the car at the Palladium Courtyard of the High Street Phoenix, Mumbai.

Launching Nano: Art in Motion, Ms. Delna Avari, Head (Nano Product Group), Tata Motors, said, “The Tata Nano is a true innovation and a fun car, and art is all about having fun with colors, creativity and personal expression. Through this initiative, we are marrying art and utility to showcase a series of Tata Nanos’, which will be embellished with varying theme-based imagery, further accentuating the brand’s personality as a potent personal symbol. The first art car will focus around the theme of celebration. We are delighted to have Ms. Sangeeta Babani as part of the kickoff to this exciting new series.”

Now, the one-off Nana was put on display at Cymroza Art Gallery, Breach Candy from 1st to 6th October and to everyone’s surprise, Karl Slym, the new Managing Director at Tata Motors, paid a visit to check out the customised car. He was accompanied by his wife Sally. Sangeeta Babani was delighted to have the unexpected guests.
