After entering India in 2017 Jeep compass has gained a fanbase. And to celebrate 5 years anniversary, Jeep has recently teased the Compass 5th anniversary edition. It will be a limited edition and is set to launch soon.

Compass is the first locally assembled Jeep in India Although the teaser doesn’t reveal much of the details. The car will get the ‘5th-anniversary edition’ logo. Few cosmic design changes and interior upgrades are also expected. This 5th-anniversary edition is expected to have similar changes as the Compass knight Eagle edition. A special color option is also expected here. The other features of Compass include a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and 24 configurable content screens, a digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, etc. It comes with wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto, up to five custom profiles, and OTA updates. It comes with additional techs such as wireless charging, a 360-degree remote camera, cruise control, a powered liftgate, and powered front seats with ventilation and memory settings. While the exterior comes with LED headlamps and DRLs up front, and the iconic seven-slat front with some chrome studs.
The 5th-anniversary edition compass will get the power from the same engine with the options a 1.4-liter turbo-petrol producing 163 hp and a 2.0-liter diesel engine with 173 hp both available with manual and automatic gearbox options. While the 4×4 system is only available on the diesel-automatic variants. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 9-speed automatic transmission with FWD and AWD drivetrains. However, the variants of the 5th-anniversary edition are not yet announced.
The company competes with the likes of Hyundai Tucson, Mahindra XUV700, Tata Safari, and MG Hector’s top trims. The current price of Jeep Compass is set between ₹18.39 lakh to ₹26.14 lakh (ex-showroom). While the earlier launched knight eagle edition is priced at ₹21.95 (ex-showroom). But the Compass 5th Anniversary Edition will be placed higher in terms of price.
