Jaguar Land Rover Sales Figures for October 2013

Jaguar Land Rover, the UK’s leading manufacturer of premium luxury vehicles continues its sales success with a record October performance, retailing 34,101 vehicles in the month, up 35% versus the same period last year. During the first ten months of the year, Jaguar Land Rover sold 346,935 vehicles, up 18%.

Sustained sales growth continues for Jaguar Land Rover with increases in all major regions: the China Region up 56%, North America up 51%, Asia Pacific up 41%, the UK up 20%, Europe up 12%, and other overseas markets up 47%. Sales for the first ten months of the year were also up in all major regions with Asia Pacific up 30%, the China Region up 27%, North America up 20%, the UK up 15%, Europe up 6% and other overseas markets up 21%.

Commenting on the October performance Andy Goss, Jaguar Land Rover Group Sales Operations Director said: “We are continuing to see very positive sales momentum for our most engaging product line up to date. Jaguar’s 14MY introductions, the new Range Rover and Range Rover Sport and enhanced engine offerings are collectively driving sales growth in all of our major regions.

In October, Jaguar sold 5,750 vehicles up 91% reflecting particularly strong demand for the XJ and all XF derivatives, up 95% and 73% respectively. Jaguar demonstrated growth in all of the major regions: the China Region up significantly, North America up 118%, Asia Pacific up 63%, Europe up 22%, the UK up 12% and other overseas markets up 74%.

Calendar year to date, Jaguar sold 63,410 vehicles up 41% with increases in each major region: the China Region up 139%, North America up 39%, Asia Pacific up 27%, the UK up 19%, Europe up 18% and other overseas markets up 33%.

In October, Land Rover sold 28,351 vehicles, up 28% with strong performances from all models in the range: Defender up 18%, Freelander up 14% and Range Rover Evoque up 23%. Range Rover and Range Rover Sport continue to sell well across all markets. Land Rover demonstrated growth in all major regions: North America up 37%, Asia Pacific up 35%, China Region up 31%, the UK up 21%, Europe up 11% and other overseas markets up 44%.

Calendar year to date, Land Rover sold 283,525 vehicles up 14% with increases in all major regions: Asia Pacific up 31%, North America, the UK and the China Region all up 14%, Europe up 4% and other overseas markets up 20%.
