Isuzu D-Max gets 2 Accessory Packs in UK Car Market

We reported in detail when Isuzu made a ‘hush hush’ entry into the Indian car market and ‘test launched’ the MU7 SUV and the D-Max pickup at Hyderabad.

Bookings for both the vehicles are open at the Japanese car maker’s Hyderadad dealership and the cars come to us via CBU route. However, Isuzu intends to set up an assembly plant in Andhra Pradesh.

The MU7 SUV is also sold as the Alterra in some international markets and will battle it out against the likes of Toyota Fortuner, Ssangyong Rexton and Ford Endeavour in the Indian market. Powering this MU7 is a 3 Liter four pot oil burner with 161 Bhp of max power and 360 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox as standard and the car maker is providing an option of a five speed auto.

The Isuzu MU-7 SUV has a sticker price of INR 23.75 lakhs in Indian market.

Talking about the Isuzu D-Max, the pick-up truck goes head on against the Tata Xenon and sports basic comforts like an air con and power steering. The D-Max is powered by a 2.5 litre turbocharged diesel engine with a peak power of 115 horses.

The single cab and double cab versions of the D-Max have a price of INR 6.87 lakh and 8.09 lakh respectively.

The D-Max recently received a two accessory packs in the UK market.

The ‘Work’ pack includes a tow bar, a payload liner, rubber mats and waterproof front seat covers. The pack has a sticker price of £499 (approx Rs. 41,809). The The ‘Work Plus’ pack consists of all the above features plus premium BF Goodrich all-terrain tires. The Work Plus has price of £999 (approx Rs. 83,704).
