The new KTM Duke 390 has made a lot of news, both in India and abroad. The latest variant in Duke series of bikes looks poised to redefine the entry level performance bike segment of India.
For some time now, rumor mills have been working overtime, claiming that a 350cc-plus faired bike, which could be based on the 390 Duke has been in the making. The bike would be called as KTM RC4 and would have styling inspired by the KTM RC8.
The bike could be launched in US sometime next year and will be powered by a re-worked 390 Duke engine. The engine is expected to have a max power output of 52PS and could dismiss 100 kmph from standstill in merely 5.5-6 secs.
It is being said that while America could be one of the first few markets to get the bike, there are good chances that the bike would never be launched in China, where KTM feels that a bike with racing aspirations won’t just do.
KTM recently published a teaser of an upcoming bike, stating that the bike would be unveiled soon. It is being said that there are good chances that the bike under those wraps is indeed the much awaited faired version of the 390 Duke.
The image does show the a bit of the full fairing, which seems to be sporting a race number decal. The bike also sports orange painted alloy wheels.
It seems like we will really have to wait and watch the upcoming bike turns out to be.
