Remshalden based German automobile tuning and manufacturing firm Irmscher Automobilbau GmbH & Co. KG specializing in aftermarket tuning of General Motors’ cars viz Vauxhall, Opel, Buick and Cadillac, have unveiled their own creation- the Roadster Turbo Sport 45 anniversary edition, a replica of the UK based Caterham 7 sports car. The number 45 denotes Irmscher Automobilbau’s 45th anniversary and the Roadster Turbo Sport 45 marks the very celebration and will be produced in limited numbers of only 7 units.
Built on a tubular steel chassis with body panels constructed out of light weight plastic and aluminium, renders the Roadster Turbo an overall weight of only 730 kgs. With a light mass to lug around, the Roadster is reasonably quick and fun to drive around car powered by a turbocharged 4 pot 2 litre engine belting out 265 bhp of power and 400 nm of torque. It comes with a retuned track oriented suspension, high performance braking systems and retro styled five spoke alloy wheels to match up to the horsepower propelling the light little car around the track. Standstill to 100 kph is claimed to be in less than 4 seconds.
The Limited Edition Roadster Turbo Sport 45 has been sprinkled with doses of luxury compared to the earlier variant adorning premium leather upholstery, heated and ventilated seats, tonneau and a soft top- both of which are waterproof.
The Irmscher Roadster Turbo Sport 45 would sport the “Sport 45” logo and a certificate on the dashboard to remind you of the uniqueness of the car.
