BMW Series LCI

India-bound BMW 3 Series LCI face-lift rendered

As with all BMW face-lifts, expect the 3 Series LCI (Life Cycle Impulse) to be as subtle as ever. Changes to the skin will be limited to the front bumper, grille, headlamps and the tail lamps.

According the rendering, there’ll be mild revisions made to the front bumper (blink-and-you-miss-it types), redesigned slats on the kidney grille, fresh alloy wheels and the inclusion of adaptive LED headlamps for the top end trims. Changes inside could come as revised trims for the dashboard and seats, and software updates for the iDrive controller.

The engines are expected to become more efficient and powerful at the same time, with chances of a plug-in hybrid being included to the range could also be a possibility. For the next model year, the 3 Series might also benefit from a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine seen plucked from the new Mini and 2 Series range. Expect the 3 Series LCI to make way to India sometime in 2015 post its global unveiling.
