After ‘Incredible India!’ campaign, Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has also been reportedly dropped from a road safety campaign. Though unconfirmed, the Dangal star has been reportedly dropped from the road safety campaign after the “intolerance” controversy. In November last year Khan was quoted saying that his wife fears the safety of her children and even considered leaving the country.

Khan was being considered as the face for the road safety campaign after Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari saw the Satyamev Jayate episode titled “Road Accidents or Murders?” Gadkari approached Khan for this campaign and also tweeted about inviting the actor for the new campaign. Khan agreed to participate in television and print advertisements for the campaign without charging any fees.

Here is what Mr Minister tweeted:

Khan is currently shooting for Indian biographical sports drama film titled Dangal which is expected to reach the silver screen by December 23, 2016. While we await any further details about the campaign, we would like to hear your responses on the decision of dropping Aamir Khan from campaigns such as ‘Incredible India!’ and road safety program.
