We reported in detail when German luxury car maker Mercedes recently unveiled the 2014 Mercedes S Class (W202).
The new Mercedes-Benz S-Class comes with a styling that might not appeal to everyone. The car does look a bit ‘Korean’ and has exterior styling that might gradually grow on you instead of appealing to you right from the word go. However the new Mercedes S Class does have a styling that is much more harmonious and sophisticated than the styling of the last gen car.
The wheel arches of the last gen are much bolder than those of the new car. Also, the old model (W221) has smaller rear doors. The new S Class (W222) has a roofline that is much more steeply raked.
On the inside, the two generations of S Class are as different from each other as they can be. The only similarities that we could find were similar buttons on the centre console and a full digital screen for the instrument binnacle. However, the new car gets a full LED display for the instrument panel. Also, the interiors of the new car has a lot more wood, has a cleaner layout and comes across as much more premium.
