ICML Sonalika to launch a Corolla Altis rival in mid 2013

Indian Tractor maker ICML Sonalika plans to soon come up with an entry level D segment sedan for the Indian market. From what is known, the ICML Toyota Corolla Altis rival could be out by the middle of 2013. While the manufacturer has been selling the Rhino MUV since some time now, the upcoming sedan would be the first world class car from the tractor maker.

The new ICML Sonalika sedan would be almost of the same size as the new 2013 Skoda Octavia that is headed our way next year. This also means that the ICML sedan would be at par with most rivals in terms of space. The upcoming ICML car is said to being designed by the world renowned Italian design studio Pininfarina and what makes the deal even sweater is that the suspension would be tuned by none other than Lotus Engineering.

Powering the car would be a 2 Litre turbocharged oil burner with a decent power-torque output of 130bhp-320Nm. In all probability, this motor would be the same as the one found doing duty on the Rhino MUV, albeit, in a different state of tune.

Expect the pricing of the ICML Sonalika sedan to undercut that of the more established rivals.
