Hyundai to Bring more N Line Cars to the Indian Roads

Hyundai is set to expand its N Line models, with a remarkable achievement of over 10,000 units sold for the Venue and i20 N Line variants in 2023

The Korean automaker is gearing up for more excitement with the upcoming launch of the Creta N Line and promises of additional N Line models in the near future.

Creta N Line

Anticipation is building as Hyundai prepares to unveil its third N Line model in India, the Creta N Line. Following the success of its predecessors, this sporty iteration is set to make waves in the market.

According to Tarun Garg, COO, Hyundai India, the N Line has carved its niche, and the company is optimistic about achieving sales between 15,000-20,000 units in the coming years.

Design Dynamics

While the specific N Line model beyond the Creta has not been disclosed, all eyes are on the upcoming Creta N Line, a version based on the soon-to-be-launched Creta facelift. The exterior and interior design are poised to reflect the N Line’s distinct flair, with red accents, gloss black elements, and faux-brushed aluminum details.

Expect a unique alloy wheel design, side skirts, N Line badges, and interior enhancements like an all-black theme, N Line-specific gear lever, and a steering wheel adorned with red stitching.

Turbocharged Powertrain

The Creta N Line is expected to share the powertrain with its facelifted Kia counterpart. The new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, generating 160hp, will likely replace the previous 1.4-litre engine. Mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox, enthusiasts can anticipate a dynamic driving experience with a sportier suspension setup, an enhanced exhaust note, and tweaked steering dynamics, aligning with the performance-oriented goal of N Line models.

Hyundai’s SUV Roadmap

As Hyundai unveils the Creta facelift and subsequently the Creta N Line, the roadmap for its SUV lineup extends further. The Alcazar is slated for a facelift in the current year, while the internationally revealed facelifted Tucson might make its way to India in 2024.

Our Take

Hyundai’s commitment to delivering sporty and dynamic driving experiences takes center stage with the expansion of its N Line portfolio. The success of the Venue and i20 N Line variants in 2023 shows the growing demand for sportier offerings in the Indian market. As enthusiasts await the arrival of the Creta N Line, brace for future surprises in the N Line lineup.
