The highly anticipated Hyundai Grand i10 compact sedan has been unveiled and as we have been saying, the car has been named as the Xcent, of course in a bid to capitalize on the old generation sedan that used to be on sale in the country.
The new Hyundai Xcent aka Grand i10 Compact Sedan will greet us all at the Auto Expo 2014.
The new Hyundai Xcent aka Grand i10 compact sedan will be to the donor hatchback what the Dzire is the Swift and the Amaze is to the Brio. The production spec Grand i10 compact sedan is likely to go on sale in a few months from now. The new car measures less than 4 metres in length and will benefit from excise duty concessions when it goes on sale later this year (probably, around the festive season).
The new Hyundai Xcent Grand i10 based compact sedan is essentially a ‘boot-ed’ version of the donor hatchback and as seen in the images we have here, sports a stubby boot and new taillamps. Unlike what we have been thinking, the car doesn’t get a set of new rear doors or a new front bumper. The front fascia of the new sedan seems to be exactly the same as that of the hatchback sibling.
The rear end of the Grand i10 compact sedan aka Xcent sports a rather chunky boot, an integrated lip spoiler and the tail-lamps look heavily inspired from that of the five-door version. Worth mentioning is the fact that the rear end has a hint of the Verna to it.
Here we have the official tech specs and feature list of the car
