Hyundai’s Grand i10 has been doing brisk business in India. Internationally through, its simply called the i10, the Grand moniker is given a miss as it is perceived to be a replacement for the last generation i10- although in India, both generations are sold alongside.

Hyundai of Germany have gone ahead and launched a Sport variant of the popular i10. To do justice to the tag, the vehicle features a host of exterior and interior styling upgrades which include delicious 17-inch Borbet alloy wheels, a set of revised side skirts, LED daytime running lights and red and black race-inspired livery from the front bumper to the rear window. It also benefits from a 20mm lower suspension setup. The interiors feature full music connectivity, sporty red inserts on the dashboard and partial leather seats.

Despite its sporty intentions, the i10 Sport continues to be powered by the standard 1.2-liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder petrol unit with 87 PS (64 kW) and 120 Nm (88 lb-ft) of torque, which enables the car to accelerate to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 12.3 seconds with a top speed of 175 km/h (109 mph).

At least for now, the car will be available exclusively in Germany. Hyundai India, are you listening? Check the gallery below for more images!
