The Hyundai Verna, which is known as the Accent in most markets, has brought enough success to Hyundai Motors India Ltd in the upper C segment of our car market. The current Verna has not just managed to be more successful than the last gen model but has also been successful in keeping competitors such as the City and Rapid at bay.
However, Hyundai realizes that with the competition growing with every passing day and age fast catching up to Verna, the sales of its C Segment warrior could face a serious threat in near future. Hence, the automaker has decided to revitalize its Korean soldier and has hence, endowed the car with a minor facelift.
The Hyundai Verna facelift sports revised headlamps that come with the quentessential DRLs.
Other changes could include:
- Back-lit power windows buttons
- Back-lit steering mounted audio controls
- Restyled alloy wheels for high end varianta
It is being said that the Verna refresh would also get a price cut. This price cut could be a result of some cost cutting measures such as:
- Omitting the middle-row headrest from the rear seat
- The spare wheel for models with alloy-wheels will be a steel unit
It would be pretty interesting to see if these minor updates would enable the Verna to continue its dominance on immediate rivals on the sales charts.
