Enough has already been speculated about the Hyundai Grand i10 sedan, which will be revealed to media on 4th next month. While we do seem to know about most of the technical details of the upcoming car, this speculative rendering by good chaps at IAB hints at the soon-to-be-launched model’s exterior design. The Hyundai i10 Grand seadn, much like the Swift Dzire and the Honda Amaze, will be basically a ‘boot-ed’ version of the donor hatchback. If the guys at IAB are to be believed, the Grand i10 sedan would have a new rear door design, a slightly stubby boot, new alloy wheel design and taillamps that extend all the way into the rear fenders.
The Hyundai Grand i10 sedan, which could go on sale under the Accent moniker, would become HMIL’s first compact sedan and will benefit from the duty relaxations provided by Govt. of India. Further helping the carmaker with pricing the competitively would be the high amount of components sharing with the hatchback.
Powering the upcoming Grand i10 sedan will be the same 1.2-liter Kappa2 petrol engine and the new three-cylinder 1.1-liter U2 CRDI diesel motor that powers the Grand i10 hatchback. On equipment and features front, the i10 sedan is expected to benefit from hatchback’s long features list that consists of stuff like cooled glovebox, steering mounted controls, in built storage space for audio system, rear ac vents, et al.
The Grand i10 sedan will be directly rival the Swift Dzire, the Amaze and the likes.
There are good chances that the upcoming Grand i10-based compact sedan would outsell established rivals such as the Swift Dzire.
