Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), a subsidiary of HMC, the fastest-growing automaker by brand and the official partner for International Cricket Council (ICC) today handed over the ‘First Ball’ for the ICC Champions Trophy 2013. Hyundai holds the exclusive rights for the First Ball Handover before the opening match between India and South Africa, scheduled on June 6, 2013. At the ceremony, the set of First Balls were handed over by Mr. Nalin Kapoor, Senior GM and Group Head-Marketing, Hyundai Motor India Ltd to the First umpire, Mr. Billy Bowden (Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Umpires) today at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff, England.
Hyundai is passionate about its association with ICC for all cricketing events as an official partner till 2015. With the handover of the ‘First Ball’ for the ICC Champions Trophy 2013, the cricket fans get a unique experience to connect with Hyundai and the tournament. For Hyundai customers, the ‘First Ball’ travelled through 8 cities in India before reaching its final destination in England. The cricket balls were displayed in specially branded Hyundai cars at all Hyundai Showrooms.
