The Hyundai Creta, addressed as the ix25 in China, just got launched there with a 1.6-liter T-GDi, turbocharged petrol engine, good for 160 bhp and a hefty 250 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful ix25 variant on sale. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. In comparison, the 1.6-litre Gamma  VTVT petrol engine available in India develops just 123 bhp and 151 Nm of torque.

Externally, the 1.6-liter T-GDi variant is distinguished by a slightly altered grille, which now sports twin, perforated slats highlighted by chrome strips, additional rectangular air inlets on the front bumper, a new rear diffuser-like element hosting twin exhaust tips, and newly designed, 5-spoke alloy wheels with a twin spoke design.

Nothing much has changed on the inside, and the ix25 1.6-liter T-GDi continues to sport features like a leather wrapped, multifunction steering wheel, a 7-inch touchscreen equipped infotainment system, automatic climate control, cruise control, keyless start, and reverse parking camera. Safety features on offer include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and ESP.
