Creta has been one of Hyundai’s most successful SUVs in India. Now, Hyundai has added another reason to consider the electric version. The Creta Electric gets an Assured Buyback Program that promises 60 per cent of its value after three years or up to 45,000 km, whichever comes first.

Hyundai Creta Electric Buyback Plan
Under the new scheme, Hyundai will offer:
- 60 per cent assured buyback value
- Ownership period of up to 3 years
- Distance limit of up to 45,000 km
- The earlier of the two limits will apply
- Terms and conditions will apply
The Creta Electric is priced from around Rs 18 lakh to Rs 25 lakh ex-showroom, depending on the variant and battery option.
Tarun Garg, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India, said stronger customer confidence will be important for the next phase of EV adoption.
BaaS Can Lower The Starting Cost
The buyback plan is not the only ownership option Hyundai has introduced for the Creta Electric. The company has also started its Battery-as-a-Service model.
Under BaaS, the Creta Electric starts at Rs 10.99 lakh ex-showroom, excluding the battery cost. Battery usage starts from Rs 3.9 per km.
This gives customers another way to reduce the amount needed at the time of buying the SUV.

Features And Charging Support
The Creta Electric gets two battery packs. The 42 kWh version has a claimed range of 420 km, while the larger 51.4 kWh pack offers up to 510 km under ARAI testing.

The myHyundai app gives users access to more than 30,000 charging points across India. Hyundai currently has 183 DC fast chargers in 105 cities and plans to take this number to 600 by 2030.
Hyundai’s Next EV Plans
Hyundai is also working on a new sub-4 metre electric SUV for India. It will compete with the Tata Nexon EV, Tata Punch EV and Mahindra XUV 3XO EV. The new model will be made in India for local sales and exports.
