Hyundai Announces Price Increase Of Up to 2% Starting January 2018

Hyundai Motor India Ltd today announced a price increase up to 2% across their product range for India. The revised prices will be implemented f the om beginning of next year. Commenting on the Price increase, Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, Director – Sales & Marketing, HMIL said, “ We have been absorbing the increase in input and material costs but now are constrained to increase the prices up to 2%.”

With their latest, the next-gen Hyundai Verna doing well, Hyundai has been testing facelifted versions of the very popular Creta Compact SUV and the elite i20 hatchback across the nation. The new versions for both vehicles will include styling updates to the fascia, updated AVN systems on the inside, a different alloy wheel pattern and changes to the upholstery. At the upcoming 2018 Auto Expo, Hyundai could also reveal a new small car, what according to many will re-introduce the extremely popular ‘Santro’ brand to India.

Apart from Hyundai, Nissan, Renault, Jeep and Mahindra have announced a marginal hike in prices which will be effective, starting January 1st, 2018. The reason for the hike is common throughout, where increased input and manufacturing costs have led car makers to take this decision.
