Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) announced on Thursday that it has achieved the 4 million vehicle milestone in the Indian market. The journey for Hyundai began in India 19 years ago with the launch of the Hyundai Santro, which went on to become an instant hit with the consumers in India.
Hyundai has reached this level of success with the help of its popular models such as the Santro, Verna, Grand i10, Elite i20 and the Creta. Taking cues from its global flagship products, Hyundai has brought international styling elements to the Indian products too. They currently have 10 models on sale in India which include the Eon, i10, Grand i10, Elite i20, i20 Active, Xcent, Elantra, Verna, Creta and the Santa Fe.
YK Koo, MD, HMIL said that Hyundai is a 10 product strong brand with class leading products from the Eon to the SantaFe and the company has since its inception, focused on make in India products made for the world. He also went on to say that Hyundai is the largest exporter and the largest premium car manufacturer in India catering to the growing needs and demands of the aspirational Indian customer.
The recently unveiled Hyundai Creta has received an overwhelming response with the domestic booking figures racing past the 70,000 mark and the overseas demand rising with 15,770 units.
