Honda WR-V India Launch On March 16, Bookings Now Open

Honda Cars India has officially announced the launch date of the WR-V. The Japanese automobile manufacturer will launch the WR-V crossover on March 16, 2017. The company has also revealed that India is the first country to manufacture and launch the Honda WR-V in the world. Pre-bookings of the WR-V have begun at authorized Honda dealerships against a booking amount of INR 21,000.

The WR-V would be available with two engine options: a 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The 1199 cc four cylinder i-VTEC petrol motor would be capable of producing 90 PS at 6000 rpm and 110 Nm of torque at 4800 rpm. The 1498 cc four cylinder i-DTEC diesel motor would be tuned to produce 100 PS at 3600 rpm and 200 Nm of torque at 1750 rpm. The petrol engine comes mated to a five speed manual transmission while the diesel engine comes equipped with a six speed manual transmission.

A few highlights of the upcoming Honda WR-V include LED DRLs integrated in the headlamp cluster, dull silver faux skid plates at the front and rear, ORVM integrated turn indicators, diamond cut alloy wheels, 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system, engine start-stop button, cruise control and a sunroof. Safety features such as Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and four channel ABS. Also on offer will be an SRS airbag system. Stay tuned as we get you the review soon.
