The brand has tweaked the design, the powertrain, and OBD for complying with the latest BS6 phase-2 norms. However, the price range of the new 2023 Honda Unicorn starts from Rs. 1,09,800 Ex-showroom.
Updated Powertrain of Honda Unicorn
Honda has updated the powertrain of the Unicorn with an updated OBD technology. Now, the updated powertrain is ready to meet the latest emission norms. Mechanically, this scooter is powered by a 163cc 4-stroke PGM-Fi petrol engine producing 9.5kW of power and 14nm of torque output.
The new Honda Unicorn boasts enhanced performance with an updated engine. The 2-wheeler maker has designed this engine to churn out maximum low-end torque performance and mileage. The manufacturer has set its compression ratio at 10:1 which ensures punchy and smooth performance. Furthermore, the Rocker arm reduces the loss of the engine due to friction. And, the crankshaft counterweight balancer minimizes the vibrations and ensures smooth power delivery at any rpm.
The aesthetics and features of the Honda Unicorn
The design of the updated Honda Unicorn is like the previous version. However, the manufacturer has updated it with some tweaks like the addition of chrome on the front cowl and side cover. Honda has also added the 3D wing moniker, updated meter console, and signature taillights to the bike. Apart from this, there are no cosmetic tweaks to the updated Unicorn.
About the Suspension, brakes, and tires
The new Honda Unicorn features ABS that ensures optimum braking performance in real-world circumstances. The new Unicorn features new tubeless 18-inch tires on the front and rear preventing deflation after puncture. The bike features 240mm disc at the front and 130mm drum brakes at the rear. At the front, this bike is equipped with a telescopic front suspension setup.
The Honda Unicorn is equipped with a high-performance mono-shock suspension setup at the rear ensuring comfort and riding stability. This mono-shock suspension is mounted on an advanced and rigid diamond frame. The Unicorn features 187mm of ground clearance, 140kg kerb weight, 798mm seat height, and 13 litres of fuel tank capacity.

Honda has retailed the updated Unicorn at Rs. 1,09,800 Ex-showroom. This bike is available in numerous colour options: Pearl Igneous Black, Imperial Red Metallic, Mat Axis Gray Metallic & Pearl Siren Blue. Moreover, Honda is offering a special 10-year warranty package on the Unicorn. This package comprises the standard warranty of 3 years and an optional extended warranty of up to 7 years.
