CBR 250R has won the India Design Mark- the highest design recognition from Indian Government through Indian Design Council, an autonomous body under Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
The inaugural India Design Mark (I Mark) awards program was organized with the cooperation of the Japan Institute of Design Promotion, organizers of Japan’s Good Design Award (G Mark), and preparations began in 2010.
Adopting the same high standards as its Japanese equivalent, India Design Mark is a design standard. It is a trust-worthy indicator of excellence, which recognizes exceptional innovation and assures Indian and global consumers of excellence in form, function, quality, innovation and sustainability of CBR 250R.
Speaking on this achievement, Mr. Keita Muramatsu – President & CEO, HMSI said-

Other winners in various categories include Maruti Suzuki Swift, WagonR and Yamaha R15.
The judgement from I-mark comes after multiple levels of diligent evaluation. Initiated by the India Design Council in cooperation with Japan Institute of Design Promotion (JDP), India Design Mark has clear objectives, some of which are:
- To serve as reference for purchase decisions as it signifies good design not only in terms of aesthetics, but also the product quality, functionality, quality, usability and social responsibility.
- Increase awareness of design and promote value of design.
- Promote an industrial value system, which has regard for reducing waste, being eco-friendly, produce sustainable products; produce products that are reusable, repairable and recyclable
- Augment the competitiveness of Indian industrial output for domestic consumption and exports
