Honda India is having a tough time keeping the Amaze’s face-lift under wraps from prying eyes, as another set of spy images have completely revealed the compact sedan’s mid-life refresh. However, this time, the Amaze face-lift has been spied in a new shade of blue, which was only limited to the Brio so far. The Honda Amaze facelift will purportedly launch on March 3.
The biggest changes on the exteriors are a different front grille with a thicker chrome slat running across, and a completely redesigned, wider front bumper with mesh inserts.
At the back, there’s new graphics on the tail lamps. Apart from that, the rear, along with the sides continue unchanged.
Inside, there’s an all-new dashboard are derived from the BR-V crossover, with rectangular HVAC vents, automatic climate control and a 2-DIN audio system. The revised instrument cluster sees three circular, silver lined dials.
As of now, there are no reported mechanical changes, which means that the Amaze facelift will soldier on with the 1.2-litre, i-VTEC petrol engine rated at 87 bhp/109 Nm and the 1.5-litre, i-DTEC diesel engine which is good for 99 bhp/200 Nm – both mated to a standard five-speed manual transmission driving the front wheels, with the petrol variant getting an optional 5-speed automatic transmission. The Amaze facelift could employ a driver airbag and ABS as standard across all variants.
