Honda Two Wheelers India has silently launched the fifth generation of the Activa in India, known as the Activa 5G. The company has updated the website and it now features the Activa 5G instead of its predecessor, the Activa 4G. Prices for the Activa 5G start at INR 54, 325 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Honda Activa 5G will be available in two variants including STD and DLX. Both the variants have been introduced with a price tag of INR 52,460 and INR 54,325 (ex-showroom, Delhi), respectively. As compared to the outgoing model, the Honda Activa 5G comes equipped with LED headlamps and pilot lamps, chrome garnish on the front cowl and a metal muffler protector. In the DLX variant, the Activa 5G offers receives a digital-analogue instrument cluster that features a service due indicator and ECO speed indicator. It also comes equipped with a four-in-one lock with a seat opener switch and a retractable hook.
Honda has introduced two new colours for the Activa 5G which include Pearl Spartan Red and Dazzle Yellow Metallic. Apart from these two new colour options, the Activa 5G will be available in Black, Pearl Amazing White, Trance Blue Metallic, Majestic Brown Metallic, Matte Axis Grey Metallic and Matte Selene Silver Metallic.
Powering the new Honda Activa 5G will be the same 109cc single cylinder, air-cooled engine. This motor is tuned to produce 8 bhp at 7500 rpm and 9 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm. Suspension duties at the front and rear are taken care of by spring loaded hydraulic units. Braking duties are handled by 130mm drum brakes at both ends while CBS is available as a standard feature. The model also comes equipped with tubeless tyres.
