Honda Accord Showcased At Geneva: Diesel Model

It sounds weird, as we are not used to utter the D word when we talk about Honda. It is always their buttery smooth petrol driven cars we talk about here in India at least.

Geneva Auto Show saw the unveiling of the new Honda Accord made for the European market. Well the model is majorly the same apart from few treatments on the body with new grille, modified bumpers, revised headlights which are mesmerizing with the mean lean look, new taillights and a chrome trim above the number plate. On the inside, Honda has kept it the same with plush seats, music system and thicker rear windows. The Accord also features active cornering headlights with High Beam Support that uses a CMOS camera sensor to detect oncoming traffic and automatically activate the low beams if the high beam is running.

What will surprise you is that this car has a Diesel variant, which is the 2.2 Lit i-Dtec emanating 148 horsepower. New Accord will be available for the European market by April. We expect this one to enter the Indian mainland soon, as more and more people prefer using a diesel and in the spot Accord is competing, Skoda Superb and VW Passat already offer diesel engine options. Fingers crossed.
