First unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi, the updated Hero MotoCorp Splendor iSmart was recently spotted at a dealership. Thus you can expect to hear more official details about the launch in the coming days. For a quick recap, the Splendor iSmart 110 is the first motorcycle developed entirely in-house by Hero’s own R&D team. The new bike is equipped by a completely new engine, chassis and frame. Moreover, the motorcycle receives Hero’s i3S tech along with smart features.
The iSmart 110 draws power from an 110cc air cooled, single cylinder, 4-stroke engine which is rated to deliver peak power output of 9.1 PS at 7500 rpm and maximum torque of 9 Nm at 5500 rpm. The engine is mated to a four-speed gear box.
The updated model is aimed to appeal to a larger audience, with a combination of muscular shoulders, chiseled waistline and a rakish face. The two-wheeler maker says that the crisp, clean and contemporary look of the new bike, along with enhanced performance will be a surefire success with customers and take forward the legacy of the largest-selling motorcycle in the world.
The current Hero Splendor iSmart self start drum brake alloy wheel model is priced at INR 51,680 (ex-showroom Delhi) while the one with spoke wheels comes at INR 50,580 (ex-showroom Delhi). Expect the prices of the new model to be slightly higher than the current model.
