Mercedes-Benz India launched the limited edition G 63 AMG back in July 2015. Called the Crazy Color edition, the model was launched with a price tag of INR 2.17 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is available in three exclusive paintjobs: Alien Green, Sunset Beam Orange and Solar Beam Yellow.
While the people of Mumbai are familiar with the Alien Green variant (a test-drive vehicle), the region recently received its first customer unit of the Crazy Colour edition. Featuring a shade of Sunset Beam Orange, the model was recently delivered to the customer who currently owns another performance oriented vehicle from Affalterbach in his garage.
Engine specifications stand to remain the same as that of the regular Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG. This 5.5-litre twin turbo-charged V8 petrol engine produces 572 bhp and 760 Nm of torque. Transmission duties are handled by a 7G-Tronic automatic transmission. This powertrain enables the model to sprint from 0-100 kmph in 5.4 seconds all the way up to a top speed of 210 kmph.
A few other highlights of the Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG Crazy Colour edition include 20 inch matte black AMG 5 spoke alloy wheels, AMG body-styling, AMG sports exhaust system with two chrome-plated twin tailpipes, AMG performance steering wheel, differential locks, electric/tilting sunroof, bi-xenon headlamps, Harman Kardon surround sound system and a rear seat entertainment system.
