Powering the new S63 is a 5.5-liter V8 Biturbo engine that has been borrowed from the 2014 E63 AMG. The S63 AMG will be sold in three variants- short wheelbase version, long wheelbase and long wheelbase with 4MATIC four wheel drive system. The 4MATIC equipped S63 can dismiss the ton from standstill in a supercar rivalling 4.0 seconds. The 2WD variants can hit 100kmph in an equally commendable 4.4 seconds. The car gets an electronically limited top whack of 250kmph.

The motor comes mated to an AMG 7-speed SPEEDSHIFT gearbox and offers the driver with three transmission modes- sports, comfort and efficiency. Mercedes claims that the car consumes 10.1 liters of gasoline for travelling 100kms. The car has CO2 emission figure of 242g for 4Matic and 237g/km for 2WD variants.

The S63 AMG goes on sale for a price of 149,880 euros (approx INR 1.17 crores), with the prices climbing up to 152,617 euros (approx INR 1.19 crores) for the fully loaded model. The new 2014 Mercedes S63 AMG will make its public debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
