General Motors India announced the appointment of Markus Sternberg as Vice President, Aftersales, General Motors India, effective January 1, 2016. With his experience of working across many countries and organizations across the world, Sternberg will be responsible for leading the Aftersales organization and delivering on our commitment to give customers world class experience.
Sternberg carries a profile of over 26 years of global experience in the automotive and engineering industries, including a four year stint at GM USA and GM Daewoo Korea as Regional Manager Parts & Service and Managing Director for Aftersales respectively. Besides this, Markus has held various positions at Adam Opel AG, Vauxhall Motors which has shaped his understanding and passion for serving the customer. He recently moved to India from Germany where he held the position of Director Customer Services and Executive Director Customer Experience Europe at Opel/Vauxhall.
Markus studied Mechanical Engineering at with focus on Automotive Engineering at the University of Karlsruhe. Markus will be reporting to Kaher Kazem, President and Managing Director of General Motors India and will be based at the company’s headquarters in Gurgaon.
