Royal Enfield has appointed Rudratej Singh, former Vice President of Unilever’s Home and Personal Care and Foods Marketing Operations, as the company’s new President. Singh will report to Siddhartha Lal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Eicher Motors Ltd. In November of 2014, this Chennai based motorcycle manufacturer roped in Pierre Terblanche, former Ducati designer, to spearhead the designing team.
At Royal Enfield, Rudratej Singh will lead the commercial business. This will include global sales and after sales, brand and marketing, new product strategy and creating and growing new business opportunities, such as apparel, accessories, and other adjacencies.
Speaking about his appointment at Royal Enfield, Rudratej Singh said, “Royal Enfield has been on an exciting journey with record growth in the recent years. It has constantly challenged business and brand conventions, and I look forward to establishing Royal Enfield as the most iconic motorcycle brand, and a world leader in mid-size motorcycles.”
