The Ford Endeavour that is sold in India is basically a rebadged Ford Everest that is sold in many parts of the world. The Everest might be getting a bit too long in the tooth but there is no denying that it is among the most recognized trucks from Ford. Work on the next generation Everest is already in progress and the new gen car, which will be based on Ranger T6 platform, is expected to come next year.

However, Ford hasn’t yet given up on the current gen Everest and has come up with a facelift for the car market in South Africa and Philippines. The recently launched Everest facelift comes with a revised front fascia that boasts of a new bumper, new fog lamps housing and a new set of headlights with a subtle kink at the edge. The car also gets some changes made to its interiors.

The revised interiors come with an all black ‘Basalt’ interior colour theme, instead of the earlier dual tone black and beige ‘Camel’ interior. The high end variants also get a cruise control.

The Everest is being sold in South Africa and Philippines with both 2WD and 4WD options. The 3.0-liter 2WD variant has a starting price of 379,700 Rand and the 3.0 litre 4WD variant has a price of 447,000 Rand.

The Ford Endeavour, thanks to advent of newer rivals such as the Toyota Fortuner and the Mahindra Ssangyong Rexton, hasn’t really posting class leading figures on Indian car sales charts. Hence, it does makes sense for Ford India to launch the facelift in our country. However, Ford India hasn’t yet made any announcement of its plans of launching the updated SUV in our country.
