The Ford Endeavour has been soldiering on in Indian car market since time immemorial and has been through a gazillion engine and cosmetic upgrades. It is pretty much for sure that Ford will launch the all new Endeavour in India by 2015. However, the carmaker hasn’t yet given up on the current Endeavour and has come up with a ‘special edition’ to attract some new car buyers to Ford dealerships.
Christened as the Ford Endeavour All-Terrain Edition, the new ‘special edition’ follows the Hurricane Limited Edition that was launched earlier. The Ford Endeavour All-Terrain Edition has a long name and a long features list that includes: A New Grille, Hood Decal, Chrome Highlights, Illuminated scuff plates, 16” chrome plated Alloy Wheels, Two-tone beige interiors, Reverse Parking Camera, Electric Shift on the fly 4×4 and a Touch Screen GPS-enabled SATNAV system
The Ford Endeavour All-Terrain Edition goes on sale for a price of INR 19.11 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and will battle it out against the TRD kit equipped Toyota Fortuner.
The new special edition of Endeavour is powered by a 3L oil burner that has a max power rating of 156PS@3,200rpm and a peak torque figure of 380Nm@2,500rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed Automatic Transmission.
