Force One EX base model launched @ INR 8.99 lakhs

Regulars to Motoroids would have already seen a gazillion spy pics of the base variant and the high end 4×4 variant of the Force One SUV. Force Motors has now silently launched the two new variants of its flagship passenger vehicle and the new Force One EX, the base variant, goes on sale for a sum of INR 8.99 lakhs.

The Force One variant that been on sale so far has been re-christened as F0rce One SX and the top end variant is being called as the Force One LX.

Powering the entry level EX variant is a 2.6 litre BS3 diesel engine that has a max power of 82PS and a peak torque of 230Nm. The new base variant is primarily targeted at the rural markets, where the One has got a good response from the car buying lot. The SX and LX are powered by the same Mercedes derived 2.2 litre FMTECH diesel motor that has so far been powering the One. This engine has a max power of 141PS and peak torque of 321Nm.

The entry level variant of the One, the EX, gets deprived of several features such as LED DRLs, alloy wheels, roof rails, rear wash/wipe, defogger, audio system, driver’s seat height adjustment, remote central locking, reverse parking sensors, ABS and cruise control.

The SX and the LX variants come equipped with all these features. The LX also gets a 4WD system with limited slip differential. This variant also gets fatter 245/70 R16 spec tires (vs 235/70 R16 spec for EX and SX).

All the variants of the One SUV are available with a new Moondust Silver exterior paint-shade option.

  • 2.6 EX 6+D – Rs 8.99 lakh
  • 2.2 SX 5+D – Rs 11.79 lakh
  • 2.2 SX 6+D – Rs 11.71 lakh
  • 2.2 SX ABS 5+D – Rs 12.06 lakh
  • 2.2 SX ABS 6+D – Rs 11.99 lakh

Prices of the LX variant, which will go on sale in 6+D configuration only, are yet to be revealed.

    Hi Yatharth, Thanks for the quick view on the Force motors "One". Do you have any real world tech specs as in – Top speed times and drivability etc.
