Plenty of speculations and a lot of waiting later, the new 2014 Mercedes Benz E63 AMG has finally arrived to us! It has’t been much time since the new 2014 Mercedes E Class has been on sale in Indian car market and the fact that the good folks at Mercedes India have decided to spoil Indian car enthusiasts silly by introducing the new 2014 Mercedes E63 AMG in India is nothing short of laudable.
The new 2014 Mercedes E63 AMG India has been launched at an event at BIC and we will soon be spending some time with the car on the first Indian Formula 1 race track. Safely expect us to keep our dear readers updated about the newly launched Merc.
Powering the new India spec 2014 Mercedes E63 AMG is a 5.5 liter twin turbo V8 petrol engine that has a max power of 557 Bhp and peak torque of 720 Nm. The monstrous engine comes mated to a 7 speed twin clutch gearbox. Internationally, the new 2014 Mercedes E63 AMG can be bought in either RWD or AWD layout. However, the India spec car doesn’t get the AWD system. The new 2014 E63 AMG sports a performance tuned suspension, electromechanical steering wheel and a nanny of electricals to keep things under check.
Visually, the E63 AMG looks every bit a more powerful version of the E Class and comes equipped with decidedly sportier looking bumpers, skirts, wind splitters, AMG badges, twin exhausts and a trunk lip-spoiler. On the inside, the car sports a new steering wheel, new upholstery, paddle shifters, drilled pedals and a lot of AMG bits.
The new 2014 Mercedes E63 AMG goes on sale in India for a sum of INR 1.29 Crores (ex showroom, Delhi).
