Force Motors has launched the 4×4 variant of the Force One, at an ex-showroom price of INR 13.98 lakh, Delhi. Based on the Force One LX, the top-end variant until now, the 4×4 version has been showcased by Force Motors more than a year back, but has made its way to showroom floors only now. Force Motors has already commenced bookings for the 4×4, which will be available only on the LX variant for now. Other variants without the 4×4 option include the EX (Executive), SX (Superior) and LX (Luxury), giving Force Motors the opportunity to cater to a broader audience and price range with the same model.

The Force One 4×4 comes with an electronic shift-on-the-fly system that enables the driver to switch between front and all-wheel drive on the move. Motive power remains the same: a 2.2-litre common rail diesel engine producing 141 PS of maximum power at 3,800rpm and 321 Nm of maximum torque between 1,600-2,400rpm.

There are no major changes externally from the existing LX, save for the customary 4×4 decals, daytime running LEDs, and slightly wider 245/70 R16s tyres in place of the original 235s. Inside, the 4×4 gets new leather seats, and it still seats seven with lots of space to spare. Creature comforts from the LX are also carried over, including the 2-DIN infotainment system, cruise control, reverse parking sensor, and dual air-con vents for each row of seats. However, unlike the EX variant, the LX will not be offered as a six seater.

  1. It is really painfull to note that a reputed brand like force launching a vehicle at such a high price, without the basic safety feature of passenger air bags.i think the govt should make compulsory for all suv mfrs to fit air bags.wake up force motors.
