Post all the hype, spy shots and renderings surrounding the Alfa Romeo 4C, the first official photos of the production version have finally been released by Alfa Romeo.

Talking of the spec-sheet, the 4C features a monocoque carbon fibre chassis with generous use of light-weight aluminium for rear structure and crash boxes making the car stand at less than 850 kgs. Powered by a turbocharged 1.8 litre engine slated to produce approx 275 bhp giving the 2 seater a 0-100 kph dash in 4.5 seconds approx and maxing out at an electronically-limited 250 kph mark. Transmission duties would be taken care by an all new 6 speed TCT dual clutch gearbox with steering mounted paddles for manual shifts.

The car would be manufactured at Maserati’s Modena Plant, Italy. More details to follow from Alfa Romeo at the Geneva Motor Show next month.
