First KTM RC Cup Championship Concludes – Winners Announced

KTM is one of the performance bike manufacturers in India. Recently, KTM has conducted the RC Cup Championship at the iconic MMRT track in Chennai. Now, KTM has announced the results of this cup and India has won this Championship. This was the largest bike racing Championship ever in India. Participants from 8 different cities showcased their talents at this championship.

This championship is dominated by a 25-year-old biker from Pondicherry, Navaneeth Kumar. The other runner in this championship is Amarnath Menon from Kozhikode and Allwin Xavier from Thrissur. They have achieved the second and third positions respectively. These three talented riders have won a unique opportunity to experience the best of KTM in Austria. The experience includes a Track Day with Jeremy McWilliams and a chance to watch a thrilling MotoGP race at the iconic Redbull ring. Also, the winners will get a chance to visit the prestigious KTM Motohall.

About KTM RC 390

The KTM owners were provided with KTM RC 390 GP for this championship. KTM RC 390 GP is a high-performance machine that features racing performance components like a trellis frame and WP APEX suspension. This bike also features advanced technology like MTC and cornering ABS. KTM RC 390 GP is a dream machine for any racer seeking confidence-inspiring performance on the track. This impressive racing bike proved to be the perfect choice for the championships. This bike encourages the participants to unleash their full potential and showcase their skills on the track.

About KTM Racing Academy

In December 2022, KTM launched its customer racing program, KTM RC CUP. This program had the goal of spreading awareness of racing culture in India. This program was conducted by KTM Racing Academy. KTM experts have traveled across the country to search for KTM owners who have a passion for racing.

Then those KTM owners were trained through the KTM Racing Academy for this championship. Based on their lap timings, the top 80 racers were selected for further mentoring. The mentoring was done by ex-MotoGP racer Jeremy McWilliams and seven-time INMRC championship winner Emmanuel Jebaraj. KTM has made its efforts to provide a platform for aspiring racers to pursue their passion. With this championship, KTM aims to promote motorsports in India.

The feedback from the racers and their progression in the past 3 days has been truly outstanding. I am particularly pleased to see how the racers have internalized the advice I’ve offered and then delivered on track. Jeba and his team have worked hard to up the standards and got a good base setting for the racers now. The KTM Race Cup is delivering exactly what it set out to do and I am already looking forward to season 2.”
