Fiat to shut down its Turin headquarter for eight days

Italian carmaker Fiat is on the verge of closing the Turin headquarters for as many as eight days this and next month. This is being done to save cash and minimize the losses that carmaker has faced in various European, African and Middle Eastern markets. The carmaker’s headquarters would remain out of action on 14th,15th,20th,21st this month and on  four more days in July. This break is apart from the summer vacations that will take place in August. The closure of the factory will affect almost 5400 workers who will be paid only 80 percent of their regular wages during the time they will be at home.
