We reported when it surfaced that Fiat will be launching the Cross Punto in India. Now, the Punto Cross, which has been christened Punto Adventure, has been spied for the first time in Italy. Initial reports suggested that Fiat 500X would be launched in India, but now, according to reports, Fiat will launch Punto Adventure.
The Punto Adventure has spied by a leading Italian auto publication, Quattro Ruote. Sadly, only the rear spy shots are available.
The bumper on the Adventure is entirely new and the car features a swinging arm on which the spare wheel is mounted. The bumper retains the reverse guide light and reflector strips. The spare wheel housing has the Adventure name and a grip is provided for better ergonomics. The Fiat Punto Adventure wears an off-roader look, but won’t go off-roading as the FWD configuration has been retained.
Under the hood, we can expect the car to come with the same 1.3 liter MJD (in 75 and 90 PS states of tunes). The petrol model will be available with the 1.4-liter FIRE engine.
Fiat will likely showcase the Punto Adventure at the Delhi Auto Expo next month, and the car will go on sale by next year.
