While Fiat India is prepping itself to launch the Avventura next week, a report suggests the Indian arm of the Italian auto giant will be launching the Abarth 500 hatchback in November. With the launch of the 500 Abarth, Fiat India will be having 5 products in its line up next month.

The Fiat 500 Abarth was showcased the Auto Expo 2014 this February. The company also showcased the 500 Abarth at Fiat outlets all over the country for customers and car enthusiasts in the month of March this year. Fiat will be selling the car in India via the CBU route.
Talking about the 500 Abarth, Mr. Nagesh Basavanhalli, President and Managing Director, FIAT Chrysler Automobiles India Operations, had earlier said, “Abarth 500 is an iconic car known for its racing performance and the flagship car of the Abarth brand worldwide. We have received positive reviews at the Delhi Auto Expo for our product line up in 2014.”
Under the hood of the 500 Abarth will be a 1.4-liter, turbocharged, 4 pot petrol engine which will churn out 158 HP of max power and 230 Nm of peak torque. The 500 Abarth will come loaded with an array of features which will make driving a superior experience. Fiat is also planning to locally assemble an Abarth product next year, which will, most likely be the Punto Abarth.
