It’s time for an even hardcore Ferrari F12, and most likely it’ll wear the iconic GTO badge. This is the F12 GTO, and will be Ferrari’s most powerful car in the current line-up, since all 499 units of the LaFerrari are officially sold out.
The 730 bhp, 6.3-litre V12 is said to get a bump in its power output, which should now stand at an earthshaking 800 bhp. That figure, along with the rumored 100 Kg of weight savings, should endow the limited edition grand tourer to complete the 0-100 kph dash in less than 3 seconds.
As the image shows, there’ll be significant bodywork updates as well, which include carbon fiber skirts and splitters, three vents above the rear wheel arch, along with redesigned bumpers, headlamps and tail lamps. Production of the F12 GTO will be capped at 650 units.
The Ferrari F12 GTO has its public debut scheduled for mid-September 2015 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, alongside the brand’s most powerful drop-top ever made – the 488 Spider.
