How do you make something that’s already as stunning as the 458 Speciale more beautiful? Well, you take off its roof and make it a open-top version. And that’s what Ferrari is lined up to do in the days to come.
The news comes from sources of 4WheelsNews from Maranello who confirmed the Ferrari 458 Speciale Spider. However, no details were given out. Another source of the website also confirmed the 458 Speciale Spider and said that some dealers are already taking orders for the new sports car.

The current road going version of the 458 Speciale is powered by a 4.5-liter V8 engine that churns out 597 bhp and 540 Nm of torque. The 458 Speciale Spider is expected to get the same engine with same power output numbers. So, expect the 458 Speciale Spider hits 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.0 seconds, 200 km/h (124 mph) in 9.1 seconds.
The design may also be identical to the coupe version, although Ferrari may offer beautiful colour combinations. The 458 Speciale Spider may be unveiled in October at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. No confirmation however can be made on that.
