Exterior Design

Though the New Discovery is similar to the outgoing version, the exteriors have been given a slight makeover. The first thing that will catch your eye is the new bumper with a redesigned grille and new side vents to give the SUV a dynamic appearance. The grille is flanked by signature Matrix LED headlights and DRLs. The front and rear get sweeping LED turn indicators giving the car a sophisticated appeal. The rear gets the signature LED lights as well joined by a gloss black panel with the trademark Discovery badging. The R-Dynamic version of the Discovery gets gloss-black grille, bumper and body cladding, alloy wheels, wing mirrors and the roof.

Interior Design

Once you enter the cabin, the new 11.4-inch HD infotainment screen will grab your attention. The Pivi Pro infotainment system is claimed to be faster and more intuitive than the outgoing model and supports OTA updates for the software. JLR has replaced the rotary knob with a more traditional gear selector. Behind the new chunky four-spoked steering wheel is a 12.3-inch interactive driver information display. Drivers can select to view a pair of conventional dials, a full-screen 3D navigation guidance or a combination of both depending on their preference. The aircon controls get new styling and touch controls. The aircon gets the Cabin Air ionisation feature with PM2.5 air filtration technology. It actively scans incoming air, measuring its quality and automatically uses advanced filters to reduce the level of allergens, toxins and harmful particulates in the cabin, enhancing driver wellbeing.
