Ducati extended its Monster motorcycle family with the launch of the new Monster 797 at the ongoing 2016 EICMA motorcycle show in Milan. The Monster 797 is built around a traditional Tubular steel Trellis frame with cast aluminium twin-sided swingarm which proudly reveals its 803cc air-cooled Desmodue twin cylinder Euro 4 compliant engine.

The Monster 797 is the new entry-level motorcycle in the Monster family and will be the most accessible of the Ducati nakeds. The Monster 797 is designed to combine the traditional elements with ultra-modern components. The motorcycle features LCD instrumentation, LED side lights and tail light plus new switchgears.
The 803 cc air-cooled Desmodue engine delivers a maximum power of 75 hp at 8,250 rpm and 69 Nm of peak torque at 5,750 rpm. The motor also complies with the new EURO 4 emission norms. Active safety is always ready to kick in thanks to the as-standard Bosch ABS. The ABS on the Monster 797 works in concert with a top-drawer front braking system consisting of two 320 mm Brembo discs gripped by two Brembo M4.32 radial calipers.
